First published in 1996. The frequency of published three times a year in January, May, and September. Since 2016 it has e-ISSN. Since 2017 had DOAJ Index.

Since Volume 24 (2020), Jurnal Akuntansi has been published twice yearly (June and December).

Starting from Volume 26 Number 1 January 2022, Jurnal Akuntansi is re-published three times a year (January, May and September)
